Welcome to our podcast featuring Sean Cononie, a compassionate individual who has dedicated his life to helping the homeless community. Sean's journey began when he started feeding the homeless right after high school. In 1997, he encountered John McCormick, a homeless man in need, and took him to a hospital, which marked the beginning of Sean's journey in providing housing and support to the homeless population.
Initially not intended to be a shelter, Sean's actions led hospitals to start sending him homeless individuals in need of housing, effectively transforming his efforts into a shelter overnight. Despite facing legal challenges from the city later on, Sean and his team persevered, ultimately winning the case and continuing their mission to serve the homeless community.
In addition to his work with the homeless, Sean operates the Mass Shooting Prevention Center Crisis hotline, aiming to provide assistance to individuals at risk of committing violent acts.
